Marina Bay Street Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke and inaugurated in 2008 as Formula 1\'s first-ever night race, winds through central Singapore alongside the Marina Bay waterfront. The 4.940 km, 19-corner layout was significantly revised in 2023, with the former tight Turn 16-19 chicane sequence replaced by a long straight to improve overtaking. The combination of tropical heat, humidity, and a race that routinely approaches two hours makes Singapore the most physically demanding event of the F1 calendar.
