Logan Sargeant Biography
Logan Sargeant is an American racing driver from Boca Raton, Florida. He began his racing career in karting, competing in various national and international events. In 2016, Sargeant graduated to single-seater racing, competing in the British F4 Championship. He won one race that season, and finished 8th overall in the standings.

In 2017, Sargeant moved up to the FIA European Formula 3 championship, where he competed with Carlin Racing. He won one race and had several podium finishes, ultimately finishing 8th in the championship. The following year, Sargeant moved to the newly re-branded FIA Formula 3 championship and improved, finishing the season 6th in the standings with one race win.
In 2019 Logan Sargeant made the step to the FIA Formula 2 championship, he raced with Campos Racing. He had a strong debut season, earning multiple podium finishes and a win in Monaco. He finished 7th overall in the standings.
Sargeant continued to race in Formula 2 in 2020 and 2021, first with MP Motorsport and then with Charouz Racing System. He had a best finish of 5th place in the championship in 2021.
In October 2022 Sargeant was announced to replace Nicholas Latifi at the Williams F1 team during the 2023 F1 season.
Sargeant's first Formula 1 scoring finish came in his home Grand Prix, the 2023 United States GP on 22 October.
After the Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc were disqualified from the event, Sargeant inherited 10th place, which was his only point scored in 2023.
The American finished the 2023 season in 21st place among drivers (out of 22, including drivers who didn't compete the entire year).
Sargeant went scoreless for Williams in the first 16 events of the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship season.
His spot on the team was often under big scrutiny in the media and Williams eventually decided to replace the American driver. Instead of waiting for Carlos Sainz's arrival from Ferrari in 2025, Williams replaced Sargeant on 27 August for the remainder of 2024.
Argentinian driver Franco Colapinto took the seat after a solid campaign in F2, where he won a race and had other podium finishes in 2024.
