By winning the 2013 US F1 GP Sebastian Vettel now equalled Michel Schumacher record of 8 wins in a row.

He drove a clean race. Adrian Sutil crashed his Force India because of a collision with Pastor Maldonado's Williams in the first lap. Raikkonen's substitute Heikki Kovalainen had to come in for a new front wing and saw his points finish going up on in smoke.
