Nico Rosberg smashed the competition in his Mercedes W05.

He was able to lap Albert Park circuit 1,391 sec faster then McLaren driver Jenson 'Button who was 2nd fastest this session.

German Rosberg was clocked his quickest lap on the soft Pirelli tyres. Rosberg's teammate Lewis Hamilton could not match the pace of Rosberg when driving on his soft tyres, because he made to many mistakes and was 4th quickest.

Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso was 3rd quickest but also had to leave a gap of more then 1,5 sec on the Flying Mercedes W05 of Rosberg during the 3rd practice session in Australia.

Again the Lotus E22 dirvers Maldonado and Grosjean were not able to do a single lap time this session, because of technical problems and a big contrast with last years result. Grosjean was quickest in last years edition of the 3rd practice for the Australian Grand Prix.

2013 Australian GP 3rd practice lap times show that Romain Grosjean could do a lap of 1:26,929 min, which was almost 3 seconds faster.
