Sebastian Vettel clinched his second consecutive Formula 1 World Drivers' Championship in 2011 with 392 points, taking 11 wins, 17 podiums and 15 pole positions along the way. The German driver finished a commanding 122 points clear of Jenson Button. The team of the drivers' champion, Red Bull, also took their second straight Constructors' Championship with 650 points and 12 race wins.

Vettel wrapped up the title with four rounds to spare, at the Japanese Grand Prix (round 15 of 19), while his team Red Bull sealed the Constructors' crown one round later, at the Korean Grand Prix (round 16 of 19).
