Days before Montreal's first sprint weekend, suite, terrace and grandstand packages remain on sale even after a 20% price hike and an F2/F1 Academy expansion.

Canadian GP organisers admit this year's Montreal event is not fully sold out despite the addition of Formula 2, F1 Academy and the renovated circuit's first-ever sprint format.

According to Le Journal de Montreal, numerous terrace, suite and grandstand packages remain available just days before Formula 1 arrives at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

The situation comes after significant ticket price increases were introduced following last year's race, with some three-day grandstand packages reportedly jumping by almost 20 percent.

Individual day tickets are also still on sale.

"We have increased capacity in several sectors and products this year, particularly in the suites and on the CGV Experience platform at the beach," Canadian GP president and CEO Jean-Philippe Paradis said alongside COO Sandrine Garneau.

"There are still tickets available for general admission, the CGV Experience with concerts, terrace seating, and the club package in our hospitality areas, which are not intended for corporate groups."

The promoter has added major new hospitality infrastructure around the circuit as part of a long-term expansion plan tied to Montreal's contract extension through 2035.

"We had been talking about it for a few years, especially after seeing hospitality structures around the world," Garneau explained.

"We needed to be competitive and more modern by increasing our capacity in the face of permanent paddocks."

"We are presenting a huge sporting event, we need to have the necessary structures."

A sprint Saturday for Montreal

This year's event is also historically significant because Montreal will host a sprint weekend for the first time.

"Fans in Montreal want to see the best drivers in the world," Paradis said.

"Personally, I think it's fantastic to see real competition instead of people testing their cars. I agree with Stefano (Domenicali) - this is what I would advise all other organisers to do, because it creates additional significance for the weekend and a kind of 'Super Saturday'."

The expanded support program also includes Formula 2, which joined the Montreal bill this year at the last minute after the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian rounds earlier in the season.

And thats exactly whats wrong with F1, a jump of 20%, now i wonder why that could be, squeeze baby squeeze...!

The price increases in Canada have been punishing the economy and shrinking growth. Meanwhile, the Liberal government is printing money 24/7 injecting hundreds of billions of dollars to fund their boondogles and illegal migrants, which drives inflation even higher. In the meantime, the dystopian surveillance and censorship legislation being passed is rapidly turning Canada into the Peoples Democratic Republic of Kanada.

20%? Feel lucky it wasn't 40%. Plus, Quebec is the most corrupt of the Provinces, after Ontario. Even the Governor General was arrested for corruption. Not kidding. So, the DPRK is turning into a 3rd world sh_t-hole thanks to the Liberals. Kier Starmer was taking lessons from our PM. So, we all know what's coming.

The secret to everything in life is balance and at the moment the world and humanity is out of balance. Until we stop taking more than we need in order to feed our egos sadly it will only get worse.

        It's worse than that.

The Canadian PM is a proponent of Schwabb's "New World Order" BS. The level of intrusive surveillance, censorship and behaviour control being introduced through federal legislation is appalling.

Our PM hates the US, loves China, and 100% buys into the eco-nazi-narrative. Canada is full of natural resources. The Feds are thwarting resource-extraction across all sectors. So, our economy is taking a flogging. The industrial 'carbon-tax' going from $30/tonne to $130/tonne is going to get pushed down to consumers, who can barely afford prices as they are now.

These elites are disconnected from reality - they're all multi-millionaires - they don't care about the impact on the general population. They have forgotten they form a very thin crust at the top of the social pecking-order. It won't end well for them. Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife, Elena, found that out the hard way.
