The 2026 Canadian Grand Prix grid is set, and George Russell will once again lead the field away at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after delivering another superb late qualifying lap in Montreal. The Mercedes driver lines up on pole ahead of teammate Kimi Antonelli, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri giving McLaren a strong second row.
Lewis Hamilton starts fifth for Ferrari, while Max Verstappen faces work to do from sixth after another difficult qualifying session for Red Bull. With rain forecast for race day, this grid could be the starting point for a properly unpredictable Canadian Grand Prix.
