F1-Fansite Launches Podium Predictions Game
F1-Fansite.com has launched a new free Podium Predictions game, giving Formula 1 fans the chance to call the top three finishers before each Grand Prix gets under way.
Pick The Podium Before Lights Out
The new feature is simple enough to play in seconds, but tricky enough to expose every overconfident sofa strategist. Users pick who they think will finish first, second and third in the upcoming Grand Prix, with the game automatically loading the next race weekend, flag code, race name, championship round and live countdown.
Predictions remain open until the race starts, meaning fans can study the practice sessions, qualifying result and race build-up before locking in their final call.
Free For Registered Users
The game is free to use, but players need an F1-Fansite account to submit a prediction. Logged-out visitors will see a login prompt, while registered users can choose their podium using three driver selection fields.
A driver can only be picked once, so selecting a winner automatically removes that same driver from the remaining podium positions. After confirming a prediction, users can still edit their picks until the race begins.
Later, users will also be able to submit and adjust their podium predictions directly from their profile page, making it even easier to manage picks across the season.
How The Points Work
After the race, predictions are scored on accuracy. Players earn points for correctly picking drivers who finish on the podium, with extra reward for placing them in the exact finishing position.
That means simply naming the right three drivers can still pay off, but getting the full 1-2-3 in the correct order is where the real bragging rights sit. The system is designed to reward both sharp race-reading and a bit of old-fashioned F1 luck.
Leaderboard To Follow After Scoring
The leaderboard is already part of the feature, but it will only come alive once the first race has been scored. From there, users will be able to see how their predictions compare with the rest of the F1-Fansite community.
For now, the board starts clean. No points, no excuses, and no hiding once the first results are in.
More To Come
The first version focuses on the main Grand Prix podium, with sprint weekend support set to be tested later. Given Formula 1’s sprint format has a habit of making even simple things slightly more complicated, that is probably the sensible route.
For now, the challenge is clear: pick the podium, score points, climb the leaderboard and prove your race instincts are sharper than the rest.

How the Predictor works
No bookmakers, no odds: every number comes from the F1-Fansite results database. Each driver gets a strength score from the factors below; the race is then simulated 10,000 times and we count how often each driver wins, finishes on the podium or scores points. It does not know about weather or reliability, and it says so. Grid penalties count as soon as the official starting grid is in.
Before qualifying the model is honest about the odds: three or four candidates share most of the chance. After qualifying the grid takes over and the call sharpens.
Calibration this season: when it said 8%, it happened 5% of the time; when it said 16%, it happened 6% of the time.
