Starting Grid 2026 British Formula 1 Sprint Race

Event: British F1 Grand Prix
Track: Silverstone circuit
Warm-up lap starts at: 12:00 Local | 13:00 CET | 12:00 UK | 04:00 LA | 20:00 Tokyo
Lewis Hamilton will lead the Silverstone Sprint away from pole after delivering a classic home-track moment in Sprint Qualifying, edging championship leader Kimi Antonelli by just 0.011s in front of a roaring British crowd. Ferrari had arrived expecting Silverstone to expose them, but Hamilton instead turned Friday into another reminder of why this place has so often belonged to him.
Antonelli joins him on the front row, with Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc waiting directly behind for what could be a spicy charge into Turn 1. George Russell starts only fifth after a puzzling session, ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, while Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad complete a lively top ten for Saturday’s Sprint.

How the Predictor works
No bookmakers, no odds: every number comes from the F1-Fansite results database. Each driver gets a strength score from the factors below; the race is then simulated 10,000 times and we count how often each driver wins, finishes on the podium or scores points. It does not know about weather or reliability, and it says so. Grid penalties count as soon as the official starting grid is in.
Before qualifying the model is honest about the odds: three or four candidates share most of the chance. After qualifying the grid takes over and the call sharpens.
Calibration this season: when it said 7%, it happened 0% of the time; when it said 15%, it happened 7% of the time.

Antonelli will probably increase his championship lead a little again.
Hamilton was his old zelf again! This championship is really chaping up to a classic on with 3 top drivers in the battle for the title. I hope Verstappen can also get on the mix.
