Rookies pick their car numbers

2015 rookie drivers Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz and Felipe Nasr have all picked their driver numbers for next year.

The trend of drivers having their own numbers, as opposed to it being based on where they finished the previous year’s championship, started last season.

Nasr, who will drive for Sauber, has chosen the number 12, while Verstappen has gone for 33.

Verstappen’s Toro Rosso team-mate Carlos has chosen 55 as his first choice, number 5, has already been taken by four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel.

The 2015 season gets under way in Melbourne, Australia on 15^th March, while pre-season testing gets under way in six weeks.
