Report: Alonso may not race again
Fernando Alonso’s Formula 1 career is in doubt, as investigators still try to figure out what caused his crash two weeks ago.
The Spaniard's McLaren hit the wall in the second pre-season test in Barcelona, and he spent three nights in hospital after falling unconscious.
Alonso has been ruled out of the Australian Grand Prix but he insists that he will return for the next race in Malaysia.
However, it is still unclear what happened which means that it is not guaranteed he will return at all.
A McLaren team source told the Daily Mail: “We don’t really know what is wrong with Fernando. He may be back, or he may never be back.
“We hope he is, but it would not be fair to the rest of the grid if he returned too soon and caused an accident at 200mph.”
It is uncertain whether Alonso’s injuries were sustained during the accident, or that he lost consciousness prior to the crash.
Alonso will be replaced in Australia by reserve driver Kevin Magnussen.

It was proven, the steering mechanism on Senna's car broke, just as he was about to exit the curve! As morbid, as this sounds, he was fortunate his death was very quick, AND he died doing something he loved ! Not many of us can say that.

Guys I would love to know where you got your info on sennas crash. It was never proved what happened to senna. And the comment senna was dead before he got to the turn is absolutely crap the on board computer shows he is at 100 percent throttle then somthing happen and he goes to 100 break yous have not seen any of the documentarys or read any of the books. From accounts the car stepped out because it looked like it bottomed out. But know one will ever know. If it had been proven that it was the steering collum both frank Williams and Adrian newey would of gone to jail. Please get your facts right before posting.
I still think Fernando Alonso may have been somehow electrocuted from the car. That may explain why /how he crashed in the first place? This might also explain the odd behaviour and memory loss after the crash.
