Fuji Speedway, located in the foothills of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka, Japan, opened in 1966 and hosted the Japanese Grand Prix in 1976-1977 (the original layout) and again in 2007-2008 (after a Hermann Tilke reconfiguration). Owned by Toyota, the 4.563 km layout features one of the longest straights on the F1 calendar at 1.475 km. Notorious for fog and rain off Mount Fuji that produced the dramatic 1976 title-deciding Japanese GP between Hunt and Lauda.
