The Long Beach Street Circuit, threading through the harbour district of Long Beach, California, hosted the United States Grand Prix West from 1976 to 1983. The 3.275 km layout (original F1 configuration) wound past the convention centre and the Queen Mary ocean liner. Conceived by Chris Pook as the \"Monaco of America\", it remains an iconic IndyCar venue today after losing F1 hosting to costs.
