Introducing Free F1-Fansite.com Fan Profiles

For years, F1-Fansite.com has been your home for results, standings, race calendars and the kind of deep stats that settle pub arguments. Now it's time to make it yours in a more personal way. We're rolling out fan accounts and profiles, a small but mighty set of features that turn you from a reader into part of the community.
Here's everything that's new.
Create your own free fan profile
Signing up takes less than a minute. Hit the new register page on our website, it's there on both desktop and mobile, pick a nickname, confirm your email, and you're in. No endless forms, no nonsense.
Your nickname becomes your identity across the website and it even powers your personal profile address: something clean and shareable like f1-fansite.com/fan/your-nickname/. Change your display name later and your profile link follows along automatically.
Show your colours
A fan profile is nothing without a bit of personality, so you can:
- Upload your own avatar; self-hosted on our servers, no third-party Gravatar required, so it loads fast and stays private.
- Pick your favourites; our favourite driver, team, circuit and Grand Prix, can be chosen easily from our full F1 database.
- Tell us how long you've been a fan; set the year you first caught the bug, whether that's 2021 or 1974.
- Write a short bio; a few lines about why you love this sport.
It's a proper fan card: at a glance, anyone can see who you root for and where you stand.
Earn badges
Your profile now more than show off your favourites, it also rewards you for taking part. As you comment, visit races and complete your profile, you'll automatically unlock badges:
- 🥉🥈🥇💎👑 Commenter tiers; Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Legend, based on how many comments you've posted. Your highest medal even appears next to your name in every comment thread, so fellow fans can see who the regulars are.
- 🏆 Veteran; for the long-time fans who've followed F1 for years.
- 🌍 Globetrotter; for fans who've been trackside at multiple Grands Prix.
- ✅ Completionist; for a fully filled-in profile (avatar, bio and all four favourites).
There's nothing to switch on, the badges appear automatically as you go. The more you join the conversation, the more you collect. How high can you climb? 🏁
Your avatar, everywhere you comment
Once you've got a profile, it doesn't just sit on one page. Your avatar and name now appear wherever you take part, in the comments under articles and race reports, with a link straight back to your profile. Join the debate after a chaotic Sunday in Brazil and other fans can click through to see exactly what kind of fan they're arguing with.
Built for speed and privacy
Everything here is built the way the rest of F1-Fansite.com is: lean, self-hosted, and quick to load. Avatars live on our own servers, sign-up uses double email verification to keep the spam bots out, and your data stays with us, not scattered across third-party services.

Great new feature those profiles! Now I don't have to type in my name and email anymore to comment an article. I do need to check when I went to the GP's. It's been a while...
Phew , had a few problems getting back into the updated site, I was very worried all my intelligent comments were going to lost forever, but all good now
Great to see you already managed to get onboard! If you have any questions? Please let me know!
