Norris s'engage avec McLaren dans le cadre d'un contrat à long terme jusqu'en 2030
Lando Norris has put pen to paper on a new contract extension that will keep him at McLaren until the end of the 2030 season, with a multi-year option to extend further beyond that date.
The 26-year-old Briton, who secured McLaren's first drivers' championship in 17 years when he won the 2025 title, made the announcement at the team's Woking factory during a family and friends open day.
Since joining McLaren's young driver programme in 2017 and stepping up to a race seat in 2019, Norris has become the team's most experienced driver. With 163 Grands Prix starts for McLaren under his belt, he has amassed 13 victories, 18 pole positions and 48 podiums.
"McLaren is my home, and I'm very pleased to be signing a new contract to keep me with the team until at least 2030," Norris told F1's official site.
"When I started this journey nine years ago, I was clear about the goals I wanted to achieve: to get McLaren back to the front and to win championships. We've achieved that goal, but we want more, we want to keep on winning."
The extension follows a similar move by Max Verstappen, who committed to Red Bull through to the same year just last week.
McLaren team principal Andrea Stella praised the signing: "Lando has been an integral part of McLaren's journey and success over the last nine years... He combines outstanding natural speed with maturity, consistency and a strong commitment to McLaren."
Norris currently sits fourth in the 2026 Drivers' Championship, 83 points behind leader Kimi Antonelli, but has won the last two races in Hungary and the Netherlands, reigniting his title defence.
As part of the agreement, Norris will receive his championship-winning MCL39 from the 2025 season.
