Circuito de Jerez, located in Andalusia, southern Spain, opened in 1985 and hosted the Spanish Grand Prix from 1986 to 1990, the European GP in 1994, and the European GP again in 1997 (the title-deciding race notorious for Michael Schumacher\'s attempted collision with Jacques Villeneuve). The 4.428 km layout was used in F1 testing until 2008 and remains an important MotoGP venue today.
