Every driver below has already served a grid penalty for changing power unit elements.
On this page you can see how many power unit elements each driver has used during the 2024 Formula 1 season. The number of elements allowed per car is limited: in 2024 each car may use 4 ICE, 4 TC, 4 MGU-H, 4 MGU-K, 2 ES, 2 CE, 8 EX, 5 GBX and 5 GDC without a penalty. Exceed that and the driver takes a grid penalty at the next race. Carlos Sainz has taken the most, 8 elements beyond the allowance.
