Esteban Ocon was the first who entered the track at this third free practice for the 2023 Miami F1 Grand Prix. His lap time was a 1:31.125 min on the medium compound tyres. After him Lewis Hamilton clocked a time on a set of soft which was 0.4 sec. slower.
15 minutes into the session both Ferraris and Red Bulls also had done some laps on the soft tyres and Max Verstappen again was the man to beat by setting a very quick time of 1:27:969 min, being +0.65 faster than Charles Leclerc who was second fastest.
Halfway the session the top ten order was 1. Verstappen, 2. Carlos Sainz (+0.156s), 3. Leclerc (+0.670), 4. Pérez (+0.670s), 5. Fernando Alonso (+0.843s), 6. Lance Stroll (+1.047s), 7. Pierre Gasly (+1.155s), 8. Alex Albon (+1.189s), 9. Lewis Hamilton (+1.231) &10. George Russell (+1.242s)
Last year the quickest lap during FP3 was a 1:30.304 min driven by Sergio Pérez with the Red Bull RB18.
