Early Life and Inspiration
Born on September 28, 2004, in Paris, Isack Hadjar's fascination with motorsport ignited after watching the animated film "Cars." This cinematic experience, combined with his father's passion for Formula 1, led young Isack to delve into the world of racing. At the age of seven, his parents gifted him a go-kart, marking the beginning of his journey on the tracks.
Karting Beginnings
Hadjar commenced his karting career in 2012, participating in national competitions across France. By 2018, he had advanced to international circuits, competing in the CIK-FIA European OK Junior Championship.
Transition to Single-Seaters
French F4 Championship
In 2019, Hadjar transitioned to single-seater racing, debuting in the French F4 Championship. He secured a victory at Spa-Francorchamps and concluded the season seventh overall. The following year, he improved his performance, achieving three wins and finishing third in the championship standings.
Formula Regional European Championship
The year 2021 saw Hadjar competing in the Formula Regional European Championship with R-ace GP. He clinched his maiden victory on the streets of Monaco and amassed multiple podium finishes, culminating in a fifth-place overall ranking and earning the title of best rookie.
Climbing the Ladder: Formula 3 and Formula 2
FIA Formula 3 Championship
Joining Hitech Grand Prix in 2022, Hadjar made an immediate impact in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. He secured three victories, including a notable win in Bahrain, and consistently challenged for the title, ultimately finishing fourth in the standings.
FIA Formula 2 Championship
Promoted to the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2023 with Hitech Grand Prix, Hadjar faced a challenging rookie season, finishing 14th overall. However, his perseverance paid off in 2024 when he joined Campos Racing. Demonstrating remarkable skill and determination, he secured four wins and concluded the season as the runner-up, narrowly missing the championship title.
Stepping into Formula 1 with Racing Bulls
Hadjar's impressive trajectory caught the attention of the Formula 1 community. On December 20, 2024, Racing Bulls announced his appointment to their 2025 driver lineup, partnering with Yuki Tsunoda. This promotion made Hadjar the third French driver on the 2025 F1 grid, alongside Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
