Monsanto Park Circuit, a 5.440 km street circuit through Monsanto Park on the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal, hosted its only Formula 1 race — the 1959 Portuguese Grand Prix, won by Stirling Moss for Cooper-Climax. Like its sister venue Boavista in Porto, F1 abandoned Lisbon\\\'s street circuit after the early 1960s safety concerns and the rise of permanent racing facilities elsewhere in Europe.
