Hanoi Street Circuit, designed by Hermann Tilke and built around the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam, was prepared for an inaugural 2020 Vietnamese Grand Prix that was ultimately cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent arrest of the local promoter. The 5.613 km, 23-corner street-permanent hybrid layout incorporated sections deliberately styled after famous corners worldwide. No Formula 1 race was ever held on the completed circuit.

Key corners in detail

Turn 1 (Suzuka homage)

A medium-speed sequence deliberately designed to evoke the opening of the Suzuka layout. Never raced on by Formula 1 cars.

Turn 12-15 (Monaco-style)

A tight slow-speed section through the My Dinh area inspired by Monaco's harbour section. Designed to provide low-speed technical contrast to the high-speed straights.

Final straight

A 1.5 km full-throttle blast along Le Duc Tho Boulevard, ending in the heavy-braking Turn 23. Never used in anger by Formula 1 machinery.
