As a retired former OEM guy, with 5 years at Mazda Canada, followed by 10 years with Renault Jeep Canada including a half hour after Chrysler acquired that storied brand then 16 years with Jaguar Canada, I became a F1 fan after my first Grand Prix in Detroit in 1983. I have had my favourite drivers including Mark Webber and Daniel Ricciardo. But as a Canadian, I can’t help rooting for Lance Stroll and Nicholas Latinized who I hope has seat next season. Of course when Jaguar entered F1 in 2000, I was on vacation but enjoyed the Canadian Grand Prix in 2001 through 2004 after which it was all over
