Four-time world champion Alain Prost believes the relationship between Renault and Red Bull has thawed after positive engine upgrades.
The pair struggled last year with Red Bull airing their grievances in public as they blamed a poor engine for ruining their season.
But Prost, a Renault ambassador, is positive about their future in the sport.
"It is a very positive thing in this situation," he said.
"We are a constructor team - we have an engine and chassis together - so it can be a positive fight, a positive competition.
"At least we know the engine is working well, it can be on pole, which is very good for the people making the engines. It's very good for the image, and very good for Red Bull anyway.
"But it also provides a nice vision and motivation for the future. It's almost like, 'This part is working, so we know we can do even better, and then we can present it'.
"There is so much work to do, but we know it's going to be OK. It's very positive."
