On Peter Windsor's YouTube channel, veteran Formula 1 engineer Mark Slade offers his expert take on Aston Martin's difficult start to the 2026 season.

While the Honda power unit has faced well‑documented issues with battery overheating and engine vibrations, Slade suggests the team's deeper problems lie elsewhere.

According to Slade, the Adrian Newey‑designed AMR‑26 chassis is already scheduled for a major aerodynamic overhaul, hinting that its fundamental concept may not be delivering as expected.

Despite Aston Martin's vast resources and Newey's legendary design pedigree, Slade believes the team will need a significant shift in direction to unlock the car's true potential.
