Journalist and former F1 team manager Peter Windsor reviews an impressive Friday in Monaco, where the complex 2026 cars looked surprisingly at home on the tight street circuit.

Lewis Hamilton put his Ferrari at the top in FP2, with teammate Charles Leclerc right behind him and Red Bull's Max Verstappen completing the top three.

Mercedes settled for fourth and fifth, but it was a difficult day for McLaren as Lando Norris suffered a mechanical issue and Oscar Piastri could only manage seventh behind Isack Hadjar.
