Very early in the 2024 season, on the 12th of April F1 already announced the 2025 F1 race calendar below.
The 2025 calendar does not introduce any new race venues compared to the 2024 season. All tracks from 2024 are present in 2025, and no additional venues have been added, maintaining the total number of races at 24.
The changes in the 2025 season, particularly the shift of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix to April, seem to be made in consideration of cultural events like Ramadan. Additionally, grouping races by region can minimize travel, which aligns with the FIA’s sustainability goals. Canada has been switched with Spain and they did the same with Hungary and Belgium.
Without new races added, the FIA and Formula 1 seem to be focusing on refining the existing schedule rather than expanding the number of venues. This could indicate a priority for enhancing the quality of the events and managing the environmental footprint of the sport.
